Visit 5 Cities: San Jose
One of my 101 in 1001 goals is to visit 5 new cities.
Trip 1 - San Jose/San Francisco - 12/2/10 -12/6/10, Jon and I took a vacation to San Jose and San Francisco to visit some friends. The weather and trip overall was great!
We visited Stanford University and somehow got to sneak into the football stadium. Elaine showed me and Jon around and toured Stanford for the first time as well.

Managing Your Life
I read an article today in Inside Higher Ed: When Things Fall Apart, by Rob Weir. Today is officially day 1 of my 101 in 1001, and one of my things is to read Inside Higher Ed and the Chronicle of Higher Education daily — for my intellectual and professional development. Rob focuses mainly on advice for faculty, but I think his advice is applicable to all.
